Certain NFL cards will be moving to the American Express® network starting August 20, 2026. As part of this conversion, we will be sending you a new, rebranded NFL Extra Points American Express® Credit Card, which will arrive in the mail by September 13. Your account will still be issued by Comenity Capital Bank.
You must remain active and in good standing to move to the American Express network and to receive your new card.
Yes! Keep using your current Visa card as usual until your American Express card arrives between September 6–13. Once you have your new card, please activate it online so you can start using it right away.

This card replaces your existing Visa account; there is not the ability to opt out of receiving the new American Express card. If you would like to close your account, please call us at 1-888-232-1512 (TDD/TTY 1-888-819-1918).
Not to worry, this change won't appear as a closed account on your credit report. Instead, it will show that your existing card has transitioned from the NFL Extra Points Visa® Credit Card to the NFL Extra Points American Express® Credit Card.
Your balance will automatically move to your new American Express account on August 19. Any unpaid balances that were previously billed on your Visa account will transfer to your new American Express account as a lump sum; there will be no transaction level details available for these transactions. Transactions made on your Visa account which haven’t been billed yet (e.g.: transactions made after your last billing statement) will automatically be moved to your American Express account and will display individual transaction details. After August 20 any transactions made on your Visa account prior to receiving and activating your new Amex card will be included on your American Express billing statement. There will be no changes to your payment due dates.
Yes, you will need to update your account number with any merchants with whom you have recurring payments (such as your utility bill, mobile phone provider, etc.) and any bill payment services with your new American Express account number no later than September 29. Also you should update any online merchant accounts that store your credit card information for expedited checkout, as well as digital wallets.
Your full Visa Account Center access will be available through August 12. From August 13-19, access will be limited to viewing your account information and transaction history, making payments on your account, and accessing statements and rewards. After August 20, you will no longer be able to access your Visa account details.
Starting August 20, visit comenity.net/nfl to get 24/7 online access to your American Express account.
Any autopay or scheduled payments that have been set up on your Visa account should transition to your new American Express account. If you’d like to set up autopay for your American Express account, log in to your account at comenity.net/nfl starting August 20 to modify your payment settings.
If your account is enrolled in Account Assure Pro, our optional debt cancellation program, your coverage and billing will transfer to your American Express account. Your coverage and billing will continue until your enrollment is canceled or terminated. Please refer to the Account Assure Pro Terms and Conditions for details about benefits, exclusions, cancellation and termination.
If you’ve already registered for Account Center and the app with your Visa account, no action is needed. Your username and password will carry over and be the same for the American Express account.
If you’re already enrolled for paperless statements, no action is needed – you will continue to receive paperless statements with your American Express account.
Yes, you will have a new credit card account number, CVV and expiration date on the American Express card. Please note your CVV will now be four digits in length and will be located on the back of your card.
Yes, your authorized cardholders will automatically transfer to your new American Express account and you will be provided new cards with different account numbers.
Yes, your credit limit will transfer to your new American Express account without change or impact.
Yes, you will need to update your digital wallets to include your new American Express account. Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay all have resources online for adding the card to your wallet.
